Hey there, I’m Isla

,,I didn’t grow up thinking I wanted to travel in fact when I was younger, I dreamed of a life settled somewhere with a man and 2.5 kids and a dog with a garden. Which would have been a beautiful life but not the life I was meant to have. As I grew up, I was always a little unsettled and when I went to university, I moved to the furthest away one in Scotland from home in Aberdeen and ended up running bars and clubs there. A few years in I came into some money curtesy of my Grandparents, and I think they dreamed of me using it on a house or a car or maybe even a marriage but instead I decided to travel, well not just travel but backpack. As a girly girl I don’t think that anyone expected me to follow through but off I went booking the cheapest flight out of Glasgow and spent a month travelling western Europe. That trip taught me who I really was or who I was meant to be, and I had caught the travel bug. When I came back and tried to go back to work again the itchy feet set in but sadly, I had no money left. After asking Google how best to work and travel I found cruise ships came up number one and after seeking advice from my mother I decided to leave the job, the house and the man behind and go to sea and travel the world.
